Creative Motivation, Inc. has been named this year's reciepient of the Dale Mabry Memorial Community Service Award for its ongoing
work with the youth of Hillsborough County. This recognition is "A long time in coming to an effort that has benefitted many Tampa youth
and continues to do an excellent job", according to Bob Buckhorn, the Mayor of Tampa.
Dr Braylon Jones, the Chief Pediatrician for Tampa Medical Center took time out today to applaud the recent efforts of Creative Motivation,
Inc. in bringing 20 teenagers to the pediatric center at Tampa Medical for what was supposed to be a routine checkup. "These children were found
to have contracted a rare, but treatable virus from drinking water found in a drainage culvert. The efforts of the staff at Creative Motivation
prevented a severe breakout of the disease that could have caused irreperable damage to the digestive system, possibly leading to deteration of
internal organs."
Creative Motivation, Inc. will be among the many volunteer organizations represented at the
6th annual Tampa Helping Hands Fair at the Falkenburg Academy on East Columbus Drive in Tampa on
Saturday, July 29th at 10:00 AM. This is the first time that Creative Motivation has been featured
as the top tier volunteer group at this event. "We look forward to the turnout, and hope to attract
volunteers willing and eager to work with homeless youth in our area" said Elizabeth Gourdine, CEO of the
organization that supports displaced youth in the Hillsborough County area.
